DescriptionLetter from Charles Eastlake to Prince Albert reporting that he had consulted with the six artists who were to execute the decoration of the upper Waiting Hall and that three of the artists, Fennick, Herbert and Severn, have accepted the offer. He also encloses a letter from Messrs. Cope and Horsley (see VIC/MAIN/F/30/16) reporting their decision to decline the offer, along with the artist Maclise. He also mentions that there is no need to postpone the oil-painting exhibition and confirms the date of the next commission meeting.
