'Extract from minutes of proceedings, March 14 1845', recording a resolution that a statue of Alfred be placed in the centre of the Central Hall and that statues of eminent men be placed around the walls of the hall. Also recorded that statues of celebrated Peers were preferred to sovereigns in the House of Lords and instead that statues of sovereigns be placed in the Victoria Gallery and the Peers' Lobby. Also records names of figures to be placed in St. Stephen's Hall.
