DescriptionLetter from Charles Eastlake to Prince Albert transmitting a copy of a letter from Mr Herbert in which accepts the terms proposed to him (see VIC/MAIN/F/30/91). He also writes that John Gibson's estimate is not as exorbitant as it may seem when compared to the cost of other paintings within Westminster Palace. Eastlake also reports that Mr Pickensgill and Mr Cross consent to undertake work for the Peers' Corridor, the proposed date of the next meeting and the present situation with the Fine Arts Commission funds.
