Letter from Sir Charles Eastlake to Prince Albert regarding Sir Charles Barry's views on the metal statues in the House of Lords which he believes are too dark and should be painted. Eastlake also reports that William Dyce has finished another fresco and remarks that in some aspects his work is superior to the work of German artists. He reports on the progress of the work of other artists and the submission of designs.
