Letter from Sir Charles Eastlake to the Prince Consort enclosing a letter from Daniel Maclise (see VIC/MAIN/F/31/57) and reporting on advice he had given Maclise to address some of the difficulties he was facing. He also states that he suggested that Maclise abandon the fresco and instead use a water-glass method however it would need to be approved by the commissioners.
