Description
Copy letter from the Prince Consort to Sir Charles Eastlake stating that he was sorry to see in the papers the interference of MPs with the statues in the Royal Gallery and that the commissioners would now have to wait until next year to reiterate their original recommendation. Prince Albert also suggests that Eastlake point out to William Dyce how his actions have injured the 'cause of the Fine Arts [and] to other artists'.
