Description
Copy letter from the Prince Consort to Lord Palmerston regarding the difficulty with the Treasury and requesting to meet with him the following day. He encloses papers for Palmerston's information, including a draft report by the Fine Arts Commission (see VIC/MAIN/F/31/72). He also states that if the Treasury and Parliament are no longer to support the commission in the manner initially agreed upon in 1849, then the committee would cease to exist.
