He discusses the establishment of a Hulsian professorship of divinity instead of the old office of Christian Advocate, as a better direction of Mr Hulse's endowment. Dr Philpott also mentions a Grace to be proposed to appoint syndics to defend the actions brought against some university officers who sought to clear the streets of 'women of immodest character'.
