Description
Letter from Lord Aberdeen to Queen Victoria recommending that Lord Breadalbane be appointed Lord Steward, and Lord Bruce as Lord Chamberlain. He also submits the name of the Hon. Colonel Boyle as Secretary to the Master General of the Ordnance. Aberdeen reports that Lord John Rusell would visit the Queen the following day to explain the present state of discussions regarding reform. He mentions that Lord Palmerston announced his objection to the proposed plan and believes that he may intend to separate himself from the Government in order to take lead of the 'War Party'.
