Derby also mentions that Mr Sotheron has accepted the Secretaryship for the Home Department, Lord March for the Presidency of the Poor Law Board and Lord Lovaine for the Vice-Presidency. He states that each appointment would create representatives 'with a full knowledge of the proposed Reform Bill'.
