DescriptionCopy letter from George Anson to Edward White reporting that since the initial agreement Queen Victoria has been advised that there will be considerable extra cost to drain the land. Additionally, an 'eminent builder has surveyed the house and reports that it will need to be demolished and a new house rebuilt. Due to these extra costs Anson is commanded by Her Majesty to decline to purchase Osborne estate at the proposed price.
