Letter from the Prince Consort to Sir Charles Beaumont Phipps replying that he is pleased that the law officers have decided in favour of the Duchess's claim however is disappointed that he had to defer to them before the Treasury would pay what was due. He also encloses a list of German legacies, sent by Mr Wagner (see VIC/MAIN/M/10/143).
