Letter from Sidney Herbert to the Prince Consort informing him of the death of Thomas Cochrane, the 10th Earl of Dundonald. He reports that he was degraded from, and later restored, to the Order of the Bath and that an application by his son for permission to re-hang his banner in Westminster Abbey in time for his funeral.
