DescriptionAn account of the experience of Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Fitzgerald during the attempt on Queen Victoria's life. He describes being on Constitution Hill waiting to see Queen Victoria when he saw a man fire a pistol, but he could not tell whether a ball had passed from it. He writes that himself and a policeman then seized the man before he was taken to the Porters Lodge.
