Description
Prince Albert writes to Queen Victoria to let her know that the artist George Patten has been with them in Gotha and has painted a portrait of Albert. He writes that the painter will present the portrait to Victoria in person. Albert also mentions that it will not be long before he departs for England and he describes his farewell visit at Weimar where he was received by the Grand Duke Charles Frederick. He says that their departure date will be the 23 January.
