DescriptionPrince Albert writes to Queen Victoria to let her know of his safe arrival at Dover. He writes that they had a 'terrible crossing' and stated that when they landed in Dover their faces 'were more the colour of wax candles than human visages'. He also writes that their welcome was 'satisfactory' with many people cheering as they landed. He writes that they will set out for Canterbury.
