Description
Copy letter from Lord John Russell to Lord Lyons reprting that the Queen has decided the Prince of Wales will visit North America. He writes that the Queen commands him to wait upon the arrival of the Prince at Montreal and should accompany him until dismissed. Russell also reports that Her Majesty has not yet decided whether he will visit any other part 'of her transatlantic Dominions'. However he directs Lyons to continue to collect relevant information with regard to 'the feelings and expectations' of a visit by the Prince of Wales to the United States.
