Description
Copy letter from Lord Lyons to Lord John Russell reporting on the welcome receipt of a letter from Her Majesty, confirming the Prince of Wales's visit to the United States. He writes that President Buchanan was delighted to receive an autograph from the Queen, describing him as being 'moved from the usual staid solemnity of his demeanour'.
