Description
Letter from the Duke of Newcastle to Queen Victoria reporting on the progress of the tour. He briefly describes the voage, their arrival in the harbour of St. John's and the reception received by the Prince of Wales on landing. He reports that the following day a dinner and ball will be held in the Colonial Buildings and following that they would begin their journey to Halifax. He writes that the Prince of Wales is making a 'favourable impression'.
