DescriptionLetter from Dr. Acland to the Prince Consort reporting that upon landing in Canada the Prince of Wales is well and suffered very little from sea sickness. He also reports that one man aboard the ship fell ill with smallpox just as they were approaching Newfoundland, but was treated at the Military Hospital there. Acland also adds a note regarding their visit to the 'working population' in the city and describes their expressions of loyalty as 'quite affecting'.
