Description
Letter from Albert W. Woods to George Edward Anson stating that it is within the power of the Sovereign to command the Knights of the Order of the Garter, who attend the christening of the Prince of Wales, to appear in their uniforms 'wearing the collar and mantle of the Order'. He reports that he will look for a precedent on the subject but that it will be entirely up to Her Majesty as to how it shall be at the ceremony.
