Letter from Albert W. Woods to George Edward Anson reporting that it is for the Sovereign to decide in what manner the Knights of the Garter, attending the christening ceremony, should appear. He confirms that both he and his father [Sir William Woods] agree that the Knights may wear their collar and mantle and that Leopold, King of the Belgians, wore his collar and mantle to the Coronation of George IV.
