Description
The Prince Consort thanks the Duke of Cambridge for his birthday wishes. He writes that they left Vicky well but sad at their departure and that Alfred has done well in his examinations and has received them in his uniform as a naval cadet. He refers to Lord Stanley in relation to the Horse Guards and an Act of Parliament that transferred to the Secretary of State the power of the Court of Directors and Board of Controul [Control]. The Prince Consort also mentions an Act at Babelsberg.
