Description
Copy of 'The Labourer's Friend', No. XLIX, June 1848. Contains an account of the Fourth Annual Meeting of the Society held on 18 May 1848 at Freemasons' Hall, Lincoln's Inn Fields. Also included is a transcript of Prince Albert's speech in which he mentions the opening of the society's Model Lodging-Houses, to which he and Queen Victoria had made substantial donations. Also recorded are the resolutions made at the meeting as well as a list of donations and subscriptions.
