William states that [Augusta, Duchess of Brunswick-Lüneburg] and [Charles William Ferdiand] Duke [of Brunswick] were satisfied with the conduct of their daughter and specified that her clothes should be predominantly white 'as that becomes her most'. He notes that he hopes the Prince will be delighted when he sees his 'beautiful bride'.
