William writes about the adverse sailing weather; docking at Rostoc [Rostock], 70 miles from Lübeck; spending the night in [Adolf Frederick] King of Sweden's dominion at Wismar before travelling to Ratziburgh [Ratzeburg]; and that [Frederick V] Laudgraff [Landgrave] of Hesse had been in England unbeknownst to George III. He also mentions Prince Charles [?of Hesse-Kassel's] health; Prince Ernest's fall; viewing the Grenadiers in Hanover; Carleton [Carlton] House; his upcoming visit to Brunswick; and letters to his mother [Augusta, Dowager Princess of Wales].
William adds that he left [Caroline Matilda] Queen [of Denmark and Norway] in poor spirits.
