Description
Despite a swollen hand [gout?] the Duke manages to write to his brother to apologise in advance if he is not be able to get to Brighton to celebrate the Prince's birthday (on the 12th of August).
Expressing his affection, the Duke reminds the Prince to look after himself, as from his welfare depends the welfare of the country
