Description
The Duke provides Croker with the proceedings of the Squadron under his command for conveying the King of France and the House of Bourbon back to France.
Once the operation was concluded, the Duke returned to Portsmouth and resigned the command of all the [British] ships and vessels to Vice-Admiral Foley [Sir Thomas?]. He sent the Olympia Cutter with Lord William FitzRoy to France, to enquire about the health of the King.
He wrote a letter to the Russian Emperor [Alexander I] expressing his admiration for the Russian officers.
