Lord Sidmouth saw the day before the King of France [Louis XVIII] and the Duchess of Angouleme in Calais; they expressed great appreciation for the effort made by the Duke of Clarence into the expedition to bring them back to France. Reporting that Sir John Beresford will leave Calais Harbour in the afternoon; also, the major and municipality of Dunkirk want to present the Duke with an address they composed, which they had hoped to present in person
