Reflecting on the recent resignation of Lord Erroll [William Hay, 18th Earl of Erroll] as Lord of the Bedchamber, the Duke believes that Lord Erroll would be very suited to fill the role of Keeper of the Great Seal in Scotland, which became vacant with the death of the Duke of Gordon [Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon].
