Description
This collection contains letters (in a few cases with their envelopes) mostly written by William, as Duke of Clarence and as King, to Alexander Whitehead. A few exceptions include: a letter from the Lord Chancellor to the Duke of Clarence; a letter of recommendation from Queen Charlotte to the Governors of Charterhouse to admit Whitehead's son as a scholar at Sutton Hospital; two letters from the Duke of Clarence to Admiral Sir Rodney Mundy; a letter from William IV to Charlotte, Countess Dowager of Ashburnham.
