The king's affection for 'dearest Francis' is 'so true & so sincere that no testimony that I can give, would either strengthen, or confirm in your mind, this feeling'. As a token of 'how much I love & distinguish you', the king has nominated Conynham for a Grand Cross of the Guelphic Order along with Sir William [Knighton].
