Description
Edward reported that the squadron had broken through the freights and that [Admiral Edward] Boscawen was in pursuit of them. He also includes intelligence that a Dane, travelling from [La] Rochelle to Norway, had seen a convoy of four french frigates and that consequently Sir Edward [Hawke] had ordered a ship to investigate further.
