Description
Edward also writes of a Prussian victory over the Russians [possibly referring to the Battle of Kunersdorf, which was in fact a loss for the Prussians] and congratulates George on the English Infantry's part. He states he was awaiting news from [HMS] Mars as 'greediness for news is one of the chareteristicks of a sailor', and mentions a rumour concerning the heavy loss of English Cavalry.
He notes as a postscript that he sends his compliments to his siblings, especially [Princess] Augusta on the occasion of the 10th.
