Description
The Prince thanks George III for coming to the aid of the Dutch Republic by sending troops under the command of the Duke of York to counter the French invasion, and gives details of where they will be sent. He states that the situation is very bad; Breda surrendered in a shameful manner, and Klundert has fallen despite its commander's brave defence, while three other cities are under attack. He praises the Duke of York's determination and is sure his presence will help halt the invasion.
