The Prince writes that he is sending this letter via M. Fugel, who will be able to give the King information about the situation in Holland and about what the Republic wishes to achieve when the war is over. He assures the King of his support for the cause for which his country and Britain are fighting the war into which they were forced by France's hostile actions.
