The Duchess writes that she hopes to see Prince William before he leaves Germany; she inveighs against 'la creature' [unidentified] who will never allow the Duchess's son Charles to marry, and worries that her sons Augustus and [Frederick] William, destined for the Prussian army, will behave foolishly; she remarks that Prince Henry has had his head turned by the French on his recent trip to Paris and mocks his high-handed pro-French posturing.
