The Duchess castigates Austrian treachery, describes Bonaparte as a coward, criticises the self-aggrandizing behaviour of the Powers and the blindness of the German princes, who are 'the slaves of the French', and fears the French may try to take Hanover from Britain; she reports that the Dutch will pay the Hereditary Princess of Orange's pension arrears.
