[The letter is undated, but was presumably written soon after the birth of Princess Sophia Matilda of Gloucester on 29 May.] Princess Augusta adds a copy in her own hand of her husband's letter to the Duke of Gloucester, and another of a letter from Lady Gower expressing gratitude to the King.
