Letter from Prince William to George, Prince of Wales

William, Prince (1765-1837)

George, Prince of Wales (1762-1830)
Description
Prince William communicates his plan to resign his ship since all his requests (here listed) have been refused by either Lord Howe or the King and, against his desires, he has been ordered to spend another 12 months abroad. He asks the Prince of Wales's opinion on whether he should go abroad or give up.
He encloses an 'impudent' letter from Hotham. He paid £2,000 rather than £400 for his latest outfit.
